What makes up good practice? “It depends…”
Focusing on diverse reactions to scenes of children learning to be independent individuals, this video shows how valuing independence and individuality define both teaching approaches and feeding, toileting and napping practices. Examples are not necessarily how “things should be done,” but were chosen for their potential to stimulate open discussion around important caregiving issues, such as “to what extent has dissent been erased by training?”, and “have parents’ voices gone unheard by the profession?”
